Justine Siegal has made a habit of breaking down barriers. She became the first woman to lead a professional baseball team when she was hired as first base coach in the league Brockton Rox independent in 2009. She also spent four years as assistant baseball coach at Springfield College in Massachusetts. On Monday, she added another impressive performance on the list.
According to the Associated Press, Siegal was the first woman to climb the batting practice at a major league team Indians when they threw the day before.
